Huge Not So New Sci Fi Epic … and the Never Filled Void

And a new one for my Best Sci Fi Books list. It grows like summer maters, it do.

Ok … so if you haven’t read my short bio, yeah, I scribble from prison. Which means I also read, sleep, eat, play music, and hell, I exist behind the wire. Point being, at best I’m a little, but mostly a lot, behind the times in everything that I do. Case in point: I’ve been watching the SyFy series Expanse since episode one. But I just discovered there is a sci fi book series, Expanse, out there since at least four years ago. Yeah, I know, Duh-h-h.
Years of Bone and Ash - ;)

Wool was the same. Took me a year or so to “discover” it. Have an old family friend who owned a bookstore and used to keep me up with new sci fi and fantasy books as well as my third reading passion, historical fiction. But she sold her store and now travels all over god’s good earth doing all the things she always dreamt of. Samadhi!

So, my question is: Has anyone out there discovered a new read that ain’t so new? And ain’t it fun getting to dive into a fresh novel while everyone else is in dire search for their next new author fix to fill that never full void? Soon enough we’ll be right there with ’em. But for now, I still have books five, six, and seven to devour. Can you believe it … a seven-course feast? Oh, sweet gods a’ paper and ink, scribblers an’ readers, life is good.
